Arno Bornkamp is one of the world‘s most renowned classical saxophonists. With a career spanning over 40 years, he has inspired the music world with his brilliant and elegant interpretations. His style is firmly rooted in the French tradition of the 20th century: Besides Ed Boogaard, the French masters Daniël Deffayet and Jean-Marie Londeix had a great influence on his playing. He was also strongly influenced by the Dutch musical movement of the 80s, a time when traditions were broken and which allowed the saxophone to position itself differently in the classical music world. He had great international success with his Aurelia Saxophone Quartet (1982-2017).
